The YAML output uses either flow or block style depending on complexity; strings containing special characters (such as colons or hashes) are automatically quoted. Dates and timestamps may be interpreted as ISO strings during round-trips, so watch out for type semantics. YAML supports comments but JSON does not, so comments are lost when converting back. Custom YAML tags (
